Pause will take time, wonder, interrupt and look again. We do this by concentrating every new issue on one specific subject. These subjects are not about what they actually are but about what they can be. The way they behave or the gesture they're making. It’s all about paying attention to something that makes you wonder.

Pause is a new magazine and platform about photography and graphic design created by photographer Maarten Kools and designers/ artdirectors Henk van der Hart and Kiki van der Hart.
For our second issue nr.88 we are taking a pause for 'zone' (as an area or stretch of land having a particular characteristic)
